Becoming
Becoming is a new arts project exploring the lived experiences of ageing and disability through performing and visual arts.
An artistic expression of creativity, connection and community through dance, movement, film and photography, Becoming involves Elders, the Rawcus Ensemble and guest artists Rinske Ginsberg, Paul Dunn, Tim O’Keefe and Marie Pangaud.
Becoming will showcase the work of this collaboration through an exhibition at Carlisle Street Gallery from 6 March – 3 April 2019.
Becoming is produced by Rawcus in partnership with Celebrate Ageing and is supported by The City of Port Phillip’s Cultural Development Fund and Gandel Philanthropy.
Rawcus receives support through the Victorian State Government Creative Victoria Organisational Investment Fund and the Shulu Foundation.
