A wild and playful collision of performance and basketball
Double-dribbling onto court are members of the award-winning Rawcus Ensemble, collaborating with young basketball players from the Altona All Abilities Inclusion Basketball Program, in an energetic, exuberant celebration.
Part game, part performance, FANATICUS! celebrates talent, teamwork, spectacle and self-expression through movement and moments of basketball mayhem and magic.
Rawcus is a critically acclaimed long-term ensemble of performers with diverse minds, bodies and imaginations. For more than 25 years, the company has been creating audacious performances and inclusive arts experiences.
Altona All Abilities Inclusion Basketball Program supports children and young people with disability, autism, and additional needs through accessible basketball sessions in a welcoming environment. Sessions include sensory considerations, supportive coaches, fun games and activities, and space for parents, carers, and support workers to participate alongside players.
FANATICUS! is supported by Hobson’s Bay Make it Happen Grant, The Honig Foundation and Altona Sports Centre.
